Synopsis

Faust, but make it indie rock.  Analog and Vinyl tackles one of the most timeless legends in literature by swapping out the German necromancers and tagging in the hipsters. With its refreshing and funny take on the brokenhearted and wandering, this eccentric romantic comedy sneaks in some serious metaphysical and philosophical quandaries amongst its toe-tapping tunes: the eclectic and modern score has been infused with the influences of Elvis Costello, Ben Folds, Stephen Sondheim, The Beatles and Brian Wilson. Three actors.  A four-piece band.  One soul for sale.  And a devil who's looking to buy.

The world premiere of Analog & Vinyl, now running at the Weston Playhouse in Weston, Vermont, is exactly what theater should be—a living example of entertainment, storytelling, and commentary all rolled into one engaging evening. ...the audience was clearly delighted by its youthful energy, memorable tunes, and modern perspective”.  -- Berkshire Fine Arts

”This charming tale, that mixes Nora Ephron film-like romance with the Faust legend, is set to a most attractive score. What separates the songs from the usual derivative fare of rock musicals are unusually poignant lyrics and spicy harmonic language. The result is an unexpected freshness.” -- Vermont Today

"We hope to offend EVERYONE with our irreverent take on spiritual themes often unexplored in rock musicals." - Paul Gordon, creator.
